Back to Blogging!

by Tod on 22 Jun 2010, 8:17pm

After a bit of an absence, I feel up to getting back in the social networking saddle, so here’s a lot of stuff I’ve made.  I will be getting caught up on a few other things this week, hopefully.  I may be a little slow to get to emails and such, as I do that.  It’s been a little tough lately, but I’m doing okay.  I’m about to become a year older!  29!  OH NO!

Actually, I don’t mind the idea.  I’ll carry on with pretending to be an actual adult.  Business as usual.

Ekwara is still updating… I just haven’t posted the pages here.  I used up my buffer, so tomorrow’s page will go up tomorrow, and one of the things I want to catch up on is getting the week’s pages squared away, again.  That shouldn’t be a problem.  Also, I have a lot of time to devote to Icon Day 10.

Tip Pictures!

by Tod on 3 Jun 2010, 9:51am

I’ve finished the tip pictures! Hurray!

Some logistics - First of all, I had the art card prizes ready to mail out, and found them all ready to go, sitting with my shipping stuff, so I’m sorry those didn’t actually get into the mail, yet.  I thought I’d dropped them off, and am doing that now.  My next project is getting the tip pictures in the mail, too.  If you have not yet sent me an email with your address, and tipped more than ten dollars last Icon Day, send me an email with how much you tipped and your address, with the subject line ICON DAY NINE.  The picture you get will be randomly determined based on what category you’re in!

Here’s the art, behind the cut!  Enjoy!  I will be posting Icon Day 10 and some new commission info, shortly.  If you read this on my blog, Icon Day only goes on my livejournal, which is http://www.livejournal.com/~djinni

Yesterday

by Tod on 30 Mar 2010, 7:59am

I did get a lot done, yesterday, and I’m happy with my progress, but not quite ready to scan icons, plus I realized scanning them early would ruin the surprise of who won art cards, so… all things in time.

Anyway, I also made this kitty:

Today, I go to work on the mural, then more iconishness.  Huzzah!

No emails concerning commissions or the sketchbook, so I am going to make that a real auction, as soon as I figure out where and what I’m doing, and where I put the caffeine.

Mural Progress, Zazzle, Comic News, Life

by Tod on 27 Mar 2010, 9:51am

First of all, today’s comics will be going up at some point tonight - thanks to tips, Dracula will be getting two pages this week, and I need to make sure that happens!  I’m going to work on the mural, though, too.  It will be a busy day.

There are a lot of these icons to pencil.  Apologies for the wait, but this is about as long as I should have expected for it to make me take, especially with the mural eating my brain.  Both are fun.  I worry a little when I have long-term projects, but… well, read on after the cut.  I’ve been thinking about that a lot, this past week.

There is also a ton of art - in-progress photos of the mural, etc.

Guess what? ART!

by Tod on 3 Feb 2010, 9:32pm

Here are three finished pictures, two behind the cut!  I know one friend who watches this journal likes to be warned about zombies, so, be warned, one picture is a (parody) zombie.

When all of the icons are penciled, I’ll be uploading those, too.

Woosh!

by Tod on 3 Dec 2009, 12:32am

Okay, I spent the day working on icons and will keep on plugging through those until they’re done.   I’ll upload those when they’re done, and the Ekwara pictures, and then I’m doing a mail run to drop badges and some other art in the mail - including Ekwara pictures for people who want them shipped (there will be a post about this when go up).

I bought an analog alarm clock, which is awesome.  I’ve always wanted one of these!  Now I can wake up on time, again.

I went for a nice walk, today.  I noticed there are a lot of dandelions in bloom.  I must have walked past them a bunch of times since I’ve been here, but they only stood out to me, today, because I was so surprised to see flowers in December.  Hats told me, the climate is mild, but that’s still a fun surprise.
