Hey, there! My name is Tod Wills, and I’m an illustrator and puppeteer currently living in the beautiful, far-off land of Washington. I’m 28 years old, and have been drawing since I was old enough to hold a crayon and scribble in my dad’s math books.

In my 28 short years upon this blue earth, I’ve been a kid, a student, a sandwich maker, a lizard wrangler, a toy store register monkey, and, for the longest time, a camp counselor and storyteller, working with kids at an amazing camp in Boulder, Colorado. Working with kids inspired me to draw children’s illustration, and I would like to add ‘picture book artist’ to my list! I can’t wait to see what the future has in store.

I like to keep myself busy, so I have a lot of hobbies. I enjoy sharing my home with a small zoo of pets, and am a sponge for bizarre and obscure animal trivia. I have fun tromping around in the woods, looking for wildlife and geocaches. I make puppets, read about history, participate in role-playing games, write stories, and wander around outside. I also draw a lot, but that’s a little obvious by now.

My Blog - project news, sales, and new art go here.  My posts here mirror my Livejournal, http://www.livejournal.com/~djinni , where you’ll also find my Icon Days and other fun stuff.  Generally, my blog here focuses on art news, and my livejournal page mixes that in with personal stuff and smaller updates.

I work on two webcomics and do the pencils for a third.  All three update on Saturdays.

I am adapting Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula into a webcomic.  It is currently 300+ pages long. For parents - this is an adaptation of the original horror novel, and has some “vampire movie” violence and very occasional mild (Victorian) swearing. I would say it’s not meant for readers under 13.

I also write and draw my own fantasy comic called Ekwara.  I’ve been working on this setting and story for years, and am happy to finally share it!  Ekwara is PG.

I do the pencils for a fantasy adventure comic called CRIMSON FLAG.  The story updates weekly, on Saturdays, and is in a Saturday Morning Cartoon show vein - I’d say it’s PG

I did the illustrations for a young adult steampunk novel called Arcadia Snips and the Steamwork Consortium.  You can read the novel online, or order a print copy on Steampower Press’s site - http://www.arcadiasnips.com

My family is a creative bunch!  Here are some links to their sites:

Team Phobic - my brother and his friends’ game company, makers of Micro Mayhem, which features my art, and Bounce On, a great side-scroller platform game, for iPhone and iPod Touch

Mew Mew’s Yarn Shop - the website for my mom’s yarn shop, in Louisville, Colorado.

EarthShine- my aunt’s etsy shop, for some great jewelry and crochet items.
